I first heard this by Dave Edmunds - it was his 'B'-side to 'Baby I Love You', the Ronettes hit which he covered in 1973. He then went on to cover 'Born To Be With You' (the Chordettes song). He obviously liked the period!

Love that song. Sang it for years.
