I have a relatively good plot, I can tell you who what when where why and even who said what but putting it all together is a nightmare. I lose interest and it takes me ages (literally months) to get into the swing of things again. Any advice?

@AutumnxRayne: Do you have a wall that you can use? Put characters and significant events on index cards and map the story out family tree style. Then you can stand back and see how it all goes together. It really helps with creating "ah ha" moments, plot twists etc. Also, if it's up there, you can let it sit and add to it when you get new ideas.

@MikeP: thank you! I have so many "ah ha" ideas but it's linking it all together that I struggle with. It's like in snippets.

@AutumnxRayne: It sounds like you have lots of puzzle pieces ready to put together! Laying the groundwork early on for the "ah ha" moments that come later (without giving it all away) is tricky, that's why I like mapping it out over time. The end result is better because it's cohesive and doesn't read like one idea was piled on the previous idea and so on.
