@scubaguy (no, I don’t teach) but I absolutely had a crush on my scuba instructor! He was an amazing human being who made a difference in other peoples lives. Truly one of a kind. Happily married I was 35? And he was 65! Haha I suppose since he ended up leading dives, he ended up being well loved by many!!!! So I think just by association, you must be a borderline beautiful inside too!! I’ve been invited to go scuba this year, just not in my budget :-(
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@scubaguy essentially yes!
scubaguy · 36-40, M
@Foreverconfused lol sounds like an interesting marriage ;)
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@scubaguy it is just right for me. Is it too much to ask where do you scuba?

I've only done it once and there was an instructor behind me just in case I forgot how to function
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@HijabaDabbaDoo how did you like it? And, were the waters clear?
@Foreverconfused I loved it and they were, plus that Mediterranean sea water does wonders for your sinuses lol
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@HijabaDabbaDoo youre soooooooo lucky
TexChik · F
I have snorkeled but scuba pushes way too far into my Closter phobia.
@TexChik me too but if I could I'd love to dive in a shark cage with great whites
Coletracer · M
@TexChik Lol, but you will get in a small cockpit waaaaay up in the blue yonder!
TexChik · F
@Coletracer And air is everywhere...🤷‍♀️
Jlhzfromep · M
I was an instructor at a local dive shop and at a community college for a few years. Now I just dive for pleasure but only three or four times a year.
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
Awesome! @Jlhzfromep
GunFinger · F
Yes, only once when we were on holiday in the Philippines.
Beardedguy · 36-40, M
I know been a while though
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@Beardedguy same here. I was never able to get a single guy to love scuba like me, they were all married :-( it’s just more fun to have a scuba buddy to share with.
Beardedguy · 36-40, M
@Foreverconfused yeah it sure is
No, I'm afraid I'd sink to the bottom like Sponge Bob.

I used to want to learn, though.
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@SethGreene531 it’s actually easier than swimming!!!
Coletracer · M
Always wanted to, but never did.
Ramrod · 46-50, M
No,but i would like to learn how to. :)
scubaguy · 36-40, M
Indeed I do :) you?
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@scubaguy I am certified.
I do not. And i think i heard scuba activities are the number 3 cause of death for men over 40
scubaguy · 36-40, M
Nope just a divemaster
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@scubaguy okay I remember hearing that term but I don’t recall what it is! How is it different from a diving intstructor?

I wonder how old you have to be to start?
Manzi · 56-60, M
No way for me gunny you never know what your going to come across
GunFinger · F
@Manzi i was with a group and an instructor so it was alright.😊
silentwriter180 · 56-60, F
Although I do not dive due to epilepsy, I did take my above water classes, so that I am aware of the skills. I did that as I work in the dive industry making custom Wetsuits and drysuits.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
I was told I cant because of my asthma.
Starcrossed · 41-45, F
@Foreverconfused no, it was a long time ago when I was told that -back when my lungs were in a lot worse shape. I have it better under control now but to be honest I never looked back into the possibility of being able to dive, just assumed there were rules and I couldn't be certified.
Foreverconfused · 56-60, F
@Starcrossed well it’s safer
Beardedguy · 36-40, M
@Starcrossed i have it and i was allowed to
Bobdale · 56-60, M
