I think the thing is that “leftists” want people to be able to choose for themselves. pro lifers want to eliminate that choice for everyone. your story is important but there are all kinds of different outcomes.
@Akimbo75 Yes, please don't. I don't want to puke listening to your justifications on how to disqualify a human being.

Thank you in advance for not proceeding. My week was long, and I'm just not up for it.
@Magicianzini they're choosing for the embryo regardless of whether it gets aborted or is birthed. The embryo has zero choice regardless of the outcome. What is your point?!?!
Everything about leftism is an intentional inversion of all that is true and good, and it starts with the language

It looks more and more like you're a conservative pretending not to be one (tangent: closeted conservatives are a strange phenomenon, hiding behind masks like "libertarian" and "apolitical"), everything you say sets up an automatic binary, as "true and good" is a binary ... if leftists invert all that is good and true, as you claim (and which is not even true), then ostensibly only rightwingers could be on the other end of that spectrum "saving" the inherent binary which is all that is good and true ... perhaps the devout, pious true-believer theists in your church?

So please do tell us, what is good and true about destroying the climate for profit for example —
including the oil companies now using AI, which already worsens climate on its own, never mind poses long-term existential risks to the human species and is already evading the control of the AI companies, to find yet more oil to burn, to further worsen the climate even more, and their preferred leader, Trump, is forcing coal plants to come back to life after the owners already shuttered them to switch to renewables, which have become much affordable and reliable
— which is a dearly held quest by conservatives and libertarians, not "leftists" ... you have a platform to educate us @Therealsteve

Eugenics, so many are being steered towards eugenics..

again.

I think Liberals are more likely to accept people who are different than them than the uptight Trumploving Nazis are.
Therealsteve · 31-35, M
@hunkalove ive yet to come across anyone in my church who has told me id have been better off aborted for something i cant help.

Had plenty of crappy comments from leftists, though
Maybe you're on to something
your profile has an abundance of mentions of "leftists", do you have any similar critiques of conservatives, fascists, moderates, centrists, etc.?
@Therealsteve do you have any preferred accurate and dispassionate nomenclature for the individuals in the broad swaths of the masses, who don't have any mental illness diagnosis, and also regularly enage in activities which are totally normalized in their culture / cohort but objectively contribute to, for example, the worsening of climate and degradation of the environment, with the full cognizances and knowledge of the impact of their activities, which doesn't persuade them to give up any non-essential wants?
@Therealsteve I'll ask again ... since you don't want anyone to use the clinical term narcissist non-clincally for anyone doing an impressive job of cosplaying as a narcissist, what other accurate and easy to understand terms would you suggest using as lingua franca shorthand, so that you're not offended but we still understand what is meant without verbosity?

That was exactly it. Congratulations! You got it!

It is logically impossible for a fetus to choose an abortion because a fetus lacks the brain development, consciousness, and logic required to make decisions. As an adult trying to make sense of this, you are projecting retrospective agency onto a developmental stage that precedes self-awareness.

@SUPERVlXEN I'm interested in a direct response to what I asked.

@SUPERVlXEN I didn't ask about the circumstances of anyone's birth. What I asked was "I didn't have self awareness when I was put under anesthesia for my reconstructive surgery. Was I therefore not proper life at that point?"
I feel like 100 dumb dumbs say anything and we make it about the whole world and everyone.
