@Boeing It means a lot to me too. 💚
Hugs to you.
I’m really sorry tonight feels so heavy. Trying so hard and still feeling stuck can be exhausting, and being broke or lonely doesn’t mean you’ve failed or that things will always be this way.
And for what it’s worth, I think you’re a pretty wonderful person, even on the nights when you can’t see it yourself. I’m rooting for you 😊 💛

Focus on what is within your power, and release your concerns from what isn't, that's my word to you from Epictetus to help not feel overwhelmed, and to shift perspective into a more optimal place. 🫂

Yes I understand, been there many times myself.
What you are listening to is the voice that's shouting the loudest.
Try listening to the voice that's whispering the softest. Their difference is where your answer lies.

@swirlie Thank you for relating.
Looking at your age bracket, I feel like, I've been there too in the past, but approaching my 40s and still unable to make things work, despite having decades of work behind my back, is somewhat requiring a different type of strength than the one I utilized back in the days.
There's some threshold I need to cross, but moving how I do, it is becoming more difficult.
But hey Swirlie, maybe I too am full of excuses for not setting priorities earlier on in life, then, I am doing all I can from where I stand.

@Boeing You don't need to excuse the priorities of your earlier life, that's the past and can't be changed.
The past is a foreign country, they do things differently there.

The 'relating' part is the easy part. Keep in mind that despite our similar age brackets and most likely similar life experiences over the past decades, that I came to my realization about one voice speaking the loudest in my head, versus the voice that whispers very softly with a different message, that it all occurred when I was 10 years old.
Nobody with decades of life experiences told me of any of this from their own life experiences and in fact, I was alone and playing with shells on a sandy beach when these inner voice differences suddenly became apparent to me.
Keep in mind as well that I was not the sharpest tack in the drawer at that age when it came to things like philosophical discussions on self-awareness, so this had nothing to do with any kind of deep, meditative gathering of thoughts on my part for me to come to this awareness!
My point in telling you this is that having decades of life experiences behind you is actually irrelevant to the equation of when you eventually understand where you are coming from and what your purpose for being here on earth is.
The time-passage element has no bearing on anything you did in your past, your present or when you'll embark on your future.
What matters, is understanding the difference as well as the significance between those two separate voices you hear in your mind and that is all.
