@SumKindaMunster Yes. But we can’t be expected to be on high alert at all times. Credit that you tried to be careful, but you have to let your guard down at some point and trust the other person.

When you’re young, in love and enjoying the company of someone who makes you feel special - it can be a heady mix that distracts you from the usual caution you would feel.

It only makes it more painful coming from a person you would have done anything for.

My point is that I hoped you learned from the experience, so you know if you come across someone like that again.

As humans, we tend to behave in elliptical patterns, moving away from a behavior, but then inexplicably drawn to it again, in spite of the mistakes we have made.
