Yeah I wish I could have my old mind back too. Schizophrenia made me leave school in my last year too. At the time I didn't realize what was going on. If you ever want to talk about what it's like with someone who might be able to understand the kinds of things you're dealing with, feel free to message me.

The answer is having lots of people in your life to support you. Do you have this? If not, why not? Are there things you like to do? Things you’d like to learn? I am a disability support worker and one of my clients suffers from schizophrenia and is on a very strong medication.
She is encouraged to live independently as much as possible with the help of her family and carers. She goes to the gym, shopping, practices cooking, and practices writing and reading.
What are you doing to keep yourself occupied? Do you get help and support?

@MissMollyCharlotte0702 I won't go on about this to you guys, I DO all of them everyday, yes I get help and support but guess I need more support as a way to filter out the creepy things that crosses a persons mind. I study Neuroscience for about 14 years now since the age of 6 Man and very much enjoy it, thanks.

im sorry , its such a horrible illness...my grandson 15 was diagnosed as schizophrenia..he started saying bizarre things April 2017 they said he was psychosis and now schizophrenia..he laughs for nothing, cant focus on anything..cant even had a decent conversation with him without him walking away..medication so far is not helping its only made him worse..he stopped his injections in Nov and now is taking 5mg of olanzapine...I always tell him to relax and breath..i tried to get him to do things, read go to the gym listen to music but most times he wont...I think you need to go for couselling and talk out all your demons and maybe medication to help you along..listening to music and going for walks might help...you need friends or one friend to lean on...I hope you will find peace ....hugs!

my brother has schizophrenia and has been in and out of hospitals ever since he was diagnosed.
He has ways of dealing with voices, he says music helps and exercise.. and certainly being on the right medication.
I don't know if there is a answer to help with schizophrenia since it differs for each person. I would just say find what helps you and stay in touch with your doctor and try talking about what is going on. people cant help if they don't know what is happening

you are welcome@Lonesomewolf2018
I would recommend that you take the time to write out what you know is reality that you have questioned in the past.
Also write out the activities that alert you that you are in a delusionary state.

Schizophrenia manifests delusions in Catatonic, paranoid, hallucinatory and grandiose behaviors and beliefs.

When you are "sane" it is much easier to distinguish the challenges you have so that is when you need to make your "life raft" of reality.

@SomeLikeItHot Ok I think I will do this, helps reflect on what you understand what realty is like.
@Lonesomewolf2018
The good thing is that you write it when you are not experiencing episodes.
Later when delusional thinking overcomes you. You can come back to that source and read it and trust it as an authority of reality.

I would not advise this. He has a serious mental illness and the voices can be frightening and terrible for the person living with it. This illness is very real and needs to be dealt with the right medication, doctors, and support. His journey isn’t to listen to those voices, but to his doctors and people that know how to treat him. @KipWaldo
