I luckily haven't been in that situation but it also gets me thinking that if I ever were...would it make me appreciate and cherish the smallest things more?
ZenKitzune · F
@Tallie Things tend to become very clear when you think about losing everything you have. You see what means the most to you, definitely.

I came very close more than once last year, the skeleton with the black hoodie had a thing for me last year.

@ZenKitzune I e come a long way from all that, although I do question my existence a lot as I still feel a bit purposeless., I also forgot to mention I did have an ulcer mid last year and then I had another examination a few months later and wanted to do a further check for tumors, but it came up all clear,but my ulcer expanded because I was too depressed to fix it.

@SW-User the pressure to have purpose in life is half the problem. Purposelessness is given a bad name in western society, in some places it's seen as a great thing. I think we are forced to live in a way that's not natural to us and then told that it's we who have the problem.

@SW-User one day you must tell me about it.

@therighttothink50 I will in a pm
Yes I did. I was calm and accepted it. Appreciated the big things in life. But eventually normal life carried on and I thought of it no longer, and the little things came back.

yes, and it did - something's got a lot less important.
ZenKitzune · F
@blendednotshaken It can be a very useful experience, shame most of us only have it when it's too late.

ZenKitzune · F
@Wiseoldman and yet it does not have the same effect as when death is at your door.
Wiseoldman · M
@ZenKitzune But maybe it should.
Technically, I did die very briefly during an operation. I didn’t know until I was told afterwards.
