Child Safety Standards
Date of Last Revision: October 2, 2025At SimilarWorlds, the safety of all users, especially children, is our top priority. We are committed to preventing Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation (CSAE) across our platform.
Our Commitment
We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any content, messages, or behaviour that exploits or harms children. All users must comply with our Terms of Service, which explicitly prohibit Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM) or any other content that exploits or abuses children.
How We Keep Children Safe
- Content Monitoring
- We use a combination of automated systems and human review to detect and remove content that could exploit or harm children.
- Any user-generated content or messages that violate our guidelines are promptly removed.
- User Reporting
- Users can report suspected CSAE content directly within the platform by pressing the Report button and selecting one of the "Child Abuse" options as the reason.
- Reports are reviewed by our staff. In certain situations, actions may be taken immediately, either manually by our team or automatically by our system.
- Age Restrictions
- Our platform is intended for users aged 13+. Accounts found to be created by underage users are removed in accordance with our policies.
- We use automated systems and manual tagging to prevent children from being exposed to adult content.
- Law Enforcement Cooperation
- We cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities in cases involving child exploitation.
- Reported content may be retained with restricted access to assist law enforcement and preserve evidence, while preventing exposure to other users.
- For law enforcement inquiries, we provide a dedicated guide page (accessed via NCMEC or direct contact) explaining how to request information securely.
