Does the "mainstream" own it now, anyway? At least, not the major social-media, Google and the like.

@ArishMell Zionist billionaires own it all! So, yes! They gave all mainstream Americans their ideology!

@Roundandroundwego I don't go alone with the "Zionist" adjective except to describe the hard-liners in Israel and their supporters elsewhere; but I thought the American Dream was always based on making money.
That's not a Jewish concept though. The Dream applies at least as much to the type who used to call themselves "WASP" - not sure if they still do, even without their vice-president professing to be a Roman Catholic.
Only the Dream was of everyone earning enough money to afford nice houses in leafy suburbia, memberships of their local golf clubs, 10mpg SUV shopping-cars and occasional fees to "counsellors" - but while also worshipping the self-made millionaires owning Californian mansions short Ferrari rides from their very exclusive golf clubs and yacht harbours.
That was the image of America exported by America; in US-made films, TV shows and advertising campaigns for meretricious stuff like "junk food".
I didn't see the Dream as merely the few Americans now running the show and making vast amounts from it. Note I did not allege "earning" it: that might insult them. The Dream was of everyone being quite well-off, by their own efforts because no-one will help them, as one might think they'd be in one of the world's richest nations.
"Mainstream" Americans have never owned the Internet, or rather the main public programmes on it like Microsoft 'Windows', Google, Amazon, X etc.. A very small number of US citizens have made themselves very, very rich by owning those companies and taking control of the system; but might now be facing the prospect of serious competition from China and ever growing interference from Chian, N. Korea and Russia.
I wonder if they pay their employees enough to live the American Dream?
