Fair enough. I'm not a grammar nazi, but I think it would have sounded better had you said the last part like this instead;
Include the word "then" before saying, "I don't feel bad for correcting you"!

@SW-User That way of writing is archaic. I recently graduated and during our English language lessons our professor always taught us that we need to get away from archaic constructs such as introducing adverbs where they are not needed. One good example of this is "off of", where it is now written as "off" and "of" is no longer needed.
