I think about this type of thing when I hear people talk about avoiding relationships because they’re afraid they’ll get hurt. Perfectly normal of course but I believe that it would be so much easier to make that leap armed with the knowledge that if they do get hurt, they’ll have all the tools necessary to heal themselves. Certainly something worth putting effort into.
