How do I take a Screenshot?

If you are on a Windows:

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. Type Snipping Tool into the search.
  3. Select Snipping Tool when it appears.
  4. Click New.
  5. Select the area where you want to take a screenshot with your cursor (click, hold and move).
  6. Release the cursor when you've selected the desired area.
  7. The selected area should appear in the Snipping Tool.
  8. Select "File" and then "Save As" to save as a file.



If you are on a Windows 10 and don't find "Snipping Tool":

  1. Open the Start Menu.
  2. Type Snip & Sketch into the search.
  3. Select Snip & Sketch when it appears.
  4. Click New.
  5. Select the area where you want to take a screenshot with your cursor (click, hold and move).
  6. Release the cursor when you've selected the desired area.
  7. The selected area should appear in the Snip & Sketch tool.
  8. On the top-right corner, find the "Save As" button (with a floppy disk icon), and press it to save as a file.



If you are on a Mac:

  1. Press and hold these 3 keys simultaneously: ⌘, Shift and 4.
  2. Select the area where you want to take a screenshot with your cursor (click, hold and move).
  3. Release the cursor when you've selected the desired area.
  4. It should appear on your desktop as a file named "Screen Shot" with the date and time.



If you are on an iPhone or iPad:

  1. Press and hold the Power and Home buttons for one or two seconds.
  2. Release once you hear the shutter noise or see the screen flash.
  3. The screenshot should be saved on your Photo Gallery.



If you are on an Android device:

  1. Press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons for one or two seconds.
    On some phones, you may need to press and hold the Volume Down and Home buttons instead.
    On other phones, you may need to press and hold the Power and Home buttons instead.
  2. Release once you hear the shutter noise or see the screen flash.
  3. The screenshot should be saved on your Photo Gallery.
