I had a heart cath done about two months ago. I was pretty scared, but is was really easy. the actual worst part was having to stay on your back for several hours (mine was five) with very little movement. Good luck on it.

It's much more common than tonsillectomies and much safer...at any hour in the US , a cardiac catheterization is taking place

Thank you for the info. This makes me feel better 💓

@MissingNotes: really the only problem is the cut down in the groin to place the catheter... they make you lie still on your back forvsevrral hours to make sure there's a good clot

It is not as bad as it seems and quite safe. My father had it done.

@MissingNotes: Yes it was and my dad was75. You can't let him see you nervous it will stress him.
I had one done and then a Stent implanted Ted in my left anterior descending artery which saved my life. It was painless and quick and I had a fast recovery. Mine was due to a minexpensive was due to a massive heart attack. That was three and a half years ago and I am still doing fine.

My dad did, they went up through his groin. It was outpatient surgery, so it was no big deal. It's a pretty common procedure these days

Too late now but they are done all the time, he should be fine.

Not too late. It was delayed

My mother had a bypass a few years ago and she is fine. This is much less invasive.
