Wow. And 2300mg is the upper limit of what we should be taking. The ideal is more like 1400-1500mg. Imagine a meal that you'd have to eat over two days because it has so much salt.

In terms of sugar, I saw some little blackcurrant tarts. The base was only an inch across and the top maybe an inch and a half. It was a very short pastry and it had a very condensed blackcurrant filling, covered with buttercream and then chopped nuts. I wondered how many calories were in the pack of four and was only half surprised to find it was over 1300. Each one on their own had more calories than many meals.

@jomsim Wow...and I agree. I usually recommend our patients at the clinic to try and keep their sodium intake at around 1400.

That's pretty high, cup of noodles has about half of that which is extremely high

😯Processed food is so bad, alot of soup's out there have hugs amounts of sodium also
