That's not a good way to encourage someone to lose weight. I really hope you do, but for your sake :)
You need to feel special about yourself, and losing weight is your ticket to telling all those people 🖕

I am 234lbs plus I'm 5'10
Shy, being over weight doesn't make you less important. But, the numbers you posted don't lie. YOU ARE OVER WEIGHT.
You know it.
Your Aunt knows it.
Your doctor knows it.
Every one here now knows it.

Everyone knows that losing weight is difficult.
If it was easy, everyone would be fit and trim.

I'm sorry - I'm not falling into the "poor Shy trap". LOse weight if you want to. Don't lose weight if you don't want to. I don't care.

But PLEASE, please, lose the 'poor me' attitude when people in your life state the obvious - that you are over weight.

I was embarassed.
I've been trying to lose weight but it's so hard.
She said it in front of my cousins.
She said, "To put it bluntly, tou look so big in this picture."
I was hoping she said I look beautiful.
"I think I do need to lose weight but big people are normal nowadays

The items listed above, from the original post led me to believe that you WERE looking for sympathy.

You can be honest, frightfully so, but you can still get your point across without being an asshole.

Your family is not "brutally honest", they are unsupportive and insensitive.
Regarding your weight, you are fully aware of it and that you need to reduce it for health reasons.
I recommend cutting out bread, sodas, and snacks. Try and walk for 20 minutes at least 3 times a week. (Yes, 20 minutes, NOT distance).

Beyond that, I recommend never looking for your family's approval, as they are obviously never going to give it.

Please understand this much weight is bad for your health and well-being. It sounds harsibut they care and love you and want you to be well
Good luck with a new healthy eating program for the new year

Only because they care. So easy to go up. So difficult to come down. Personally, a persons weigh holds no bearing for me. Unless, it is a health concern.

When it comes to weight, she was insensitive and it really wasn’t any of her business.

@EmotionalMotherlessWoman1988 Your aunt. Your doctor is concerned because your weight effects your health.
