The old cliche, "Be true to yourself" has worked wonderfully, for me. I've just converted to acknowledging my accomplishments, however small, and working towards what I want from life--every day... Even the smallest of steps helps me get where I wanna be. I'm taking care of myself. I'm not so preoccupied with others' advice and opinions anymore, and I don't allow fear to stop me from taking risks with promising rewards. I'm finding my "rhythm," and the rhythm of the Universe... Life seems to just flow, and I find myself exactly where I need to be, when I need to be there... Funny how it works out like that... I'm lucky, I guess. But it's certainly not been easy! What a learning curve! I have a lifetime left to keep learning, trying, improving.
Human connection is a crucial part of a functioning, satisfying life. I wouldn't be in the same place, especially the (always working towards a) positive mental place, that I am, if I hadn't joined a therapy support group, for depression. The connections I've made there have helped me immensely, and helped me to see myself in a more positive light. I'm human and flawed. But I'm pretty awesome.
Try new things. Be creative and work towards a better life every day, even if it's just writing one sentence in a journal. It counts. Involve yourself with others, be generous, and say "Yes" to life. Keep trying, and believe that better things are possible. Have hope. Treat yourself often. Give love to others and yourself. Be genuine and curious. Every moment is an opportunity to learn something.

Serenity - accepting what I can't change, which is everything but myself
Courage - changing what I can, which is only myself
Wisdom - remebering the distinction between the two.

@hunkalove I heard someone say before ...key to a happy life is to accept we are not always in control ..meaning I think to not over think everything

@uncalled4 My death waits like
A beggar blind
Who sees the world with an unlit mind
Throw him a dime
For the passing time
