one of my family friends passed away at 36 not to long ago from COPD, another 26 from some sort of aggressive lung cancer, but just remember jonny, life isn't a videogame, you don't get a second chance :P

@StinkyTracy life alway gives you a second chance

maybe in different aspects, but once you die, your dead lol

Hehe.

I never understood why people smoke.
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
A lot of things kill us and humans live much longer life spans than they do now, but that doesn't change the fact that smoking is unhealthy and causes lung cancer. Nothing excuses the health risk that comes from inhaling smoke and tobacco.

My grandma died of cancer when she was 50.
Her son, my dad, is now almost 70 and smokes a pack a day.
The stuff they put into diet coke to substitute for sugar "causes" as much cancer as smoking does.
So does drinking from plastic bottles, the wifi signals, and let's not forget about the constant radiation from the sun that should give us cancer.
If everything really was that bad for us we would all be dead with 40, but for some reason we have the longest average lifespan since the beginning of motherfucking time right now.

@AcidBurn I'm not saying other things are bad too. Self proclaimed health gurus say these things are bad for us, but they're not. WiFi signals do not melt your brain, the sun the sugar substitutes do not give us cancer, the sun may radiate all the time, but that's why we have the fucking atmosphere.
My point about the lifespan was that even though we "compromise" our health with all the unhealthy shit like plastic bottles, smoking, etc. we still live longer than the chaps from a 100 years ago. Sure that's due the medical advancements but back then they didn't have WiFi but still died at the age of 20.
@SW-User Wi-Fi is reasonably new so its long term effects are still unknown. There have been studies that indicate Wi-Fi can be detrimental. It's simply too new to say for sure either way.

@AcidBurn WiFi operates like any other frequency based media really.
The frequency and amplitude that is used in WiFi Access Points do about as much damage as a gust of wind.

I have never smoked and I know hardly anyone who still does. I know a few ex-smokers nut they are even more anti-smoking than the nonsmokers.

Because in WW2 smoking was used to suppress appetite, kept adults and children alike full. Time of rations then the years went by but ciggerettes couldn’t be banned because too many were addicted by this point so warning signs were issued instead

Because humans are crap at balancing future risks vs immediate rewards, and we enjoy smoking so take the risk.
Fauxmyope2 · 26-30, F
It makes no sense to smoke. Smokers pay to harm their health. Many smokers reek from the smell and it’s annoying to smell.
goagainsttheflow · 26-30, F
Stress, peer pressure, curiosity. Neither are good and smokers should work on quitting.
ShadyBaby · 61-69, F
so messed up in the head from conditioning, does not care- just wants to smoke
Apparently everything causes cancer.
