@cherokeepatti the pads are wet and my feet are dry. I have a foot bath that uses water and salt. The sludge that comes out is amazing

@Scribbles food for thought. My feet are dry. The pads are soking wet after. I also have a detox footbath that uses water and salt. The stuff that comes out is literally sludge. No charcoal.is used

But Like I said, if it helps you, and is healthy for you then, cool. Keep doing it.

Salt baths are supposed to have lots and lots of health benefits. People have done so for thousands and thousands of years. So there does have to be something to it that helps the body, right?

I'm just skeptical because it doesn't seem to me that scientific measurements show that it is effective for toxins to be pulled out of our skin. And I've never heard of swimmers in the dead sea or ocean having sludge coming out their pores.

I think there is more data about a footbath making the body’s pH more “alkaline,” then acidic...and that having an impact on how effectively our body detoxes naturally. Idk.

But I'm not expert, I'll try to go to a spa sometime and get one of those ionic foot detoxes and interview whoever I can to hear their explanation about everything. I can share it here if you like. I'd be interested in learning more too.

@Scribbles sure please share. I do have an ionic unit that interacts with the salt.innthe footbath. I can actually feel movement in my feet with the pads
