Do you see me trying to hide my struggles with chronic pain? Maybe it’s the worry that I won’t beat these bacterial infections and they will turn septic and kill me. You might see the abuse I went through as a child.

I certainly wish all my family, friends and even strangers good will because I have had my fair share of struggles and I find it very hard to see people struggle.

I do hide a lot behind my smile and eyes because no one wants to know anything beyond the surface. It does make me pause and think when talking to someone because you just never know what someone has gone through or they are currently going through.

@swirlie I still have lots of love in my heart, empathy and I care for so many people. I just never expect the same in return because then I won’t get hurt so I protect myself.
