I feel bad for people that genuinely are the victim.
But for people that just play the victim for attention, they're about to be the victim of my pringles can upside their head

Depends on my mood. Can range from outright ignoring them to rustling their jimmies.

I find it hard to remain civil with that kind of individual.

Some of what I think has already been said. Playing the victim all the time can be to gain attention or detract you away from a real issue you have with them because they want you to feel sorry for them instead. Perhaps they are confused about their lives and feel that people do victimised them even if its not true.
Some may also play the victim to get out of lies they have told.

I think there is deep sadness in them and they're just lost.
Some people use it for malicious and manipulative intent and those with observation are clear to weed out.
