You should market your channel in a different way. Asking for subs on a forum seems really desperate - you should find an actual thread in a larger forum regarding the things you talk about and somehow weave your channel into that.

@SadlySafe: Just an example, but if I had a channel about something, say fashion, I would start out by finding a large forum (SW isn't very big and your post will drown in questions and stories).
Then find threads related to something you've made a video of on your channel, say some sort of make-up. Join in on the conversation a little and at some point you can say that you just made a video of 'that' eye-liner, which you really liked.
That seems a bit more natural and people will have a reason to check out your videos!
