@Aido - Nice of you to say so. The thing is, I have always been able to 'divorce' myself from the emotion of a situation and view it purely as a mental exercise. It's like I have some sort of switch 'emotions on/off'

I genuinely find those moral 'puzzles' that occasionally get presented really amusing. They are only moral quandaries if you are emotionally invested.

Quizling - I am not being nice, I am being factual. I know you are very intelligent and I know how those tests work. For some reason I also knew you could detach from emotions but I don't know how I know this. :P

This is why I don't believe in morality being black or white. It is subjective.

I used to work in mental health and was asked a series of questions by a colleague. I 'failed' with flying colours... Apparently I have a psychopathic mentality. I just thought I was incredibly pragmatic.

I've had some in my family, and let's just say "boring" is cherished in comparison to those memories.

An estimated 10% of the world's population qualifies as psychopathic... Unfortunately psychopaths get a very bad press. If ALL psychopaths were serial-killers then there would not be very many people left...

Voice of Melancholy. We must all be boring to someone or the other and interesting to someone or the other. So to answer your qn, it is subjective. But psychopaths are so little understood that by definition they become a little more intriguing .:)

Quizling: It's because they are loose canons, and my father did murder at least one person, and I suspect more. He got by with it, at least in this life. He would go into a manic state and brag to my older sister...he admitted to killing our mother when he was old & in bad health and I said that he did all along.

I'll say that for them; they do keep things interesting. A bit like a chimpanzee with an assault rifle!

Well this one time I found a box of Ivory Soap flakes in the camper of my father's truck (it was the 60's)... I looked at those soap flakes puzzled and then asked him why he bought soap flakes cause we didn't have a baby...he said a person could make a bomb from them and told me how. Yikes! that kind of crap and I never knew if he actually did something or not. He left us alone all day and part of the night most of the times saying he was going to the bar.

Quizling - agree. Not all psychopaths are serial killers or dangerous. They are just capable of being dangerous if they so wish. And yes, I am sure we cross paths with psychopaths more often than we realise.. Hell some of us might have some psychopathic traits.
