we shouldn't be rewarded or punished for qualities we are simply born with but most people still are. Having awareness days for issues of inequality doesnt hurt anyone except the feelings of people who feel some kind of guilt in the matter

I don't agree. I don't agree because women are usually paid less for the same work as men. Women are victim to sexual assault disproportionately to men. If they want to bring attention to these issues, I can't blame them.
