Man I still cant decide whether or not the spinning top fell or not in Inception 😭

i think open ended movies are actually great - the thing with movies vs books is that movies leave very little to the imagination of the audience and to me that's delightful if you can make your audience go back and think well what if this happened?
some movies actually do leave a deeper impact that way and are probably remembered longer than most others just because the sheer amount of interest they generate as to what could have happened

i like closure and a nice finish that wraps it up nice and neat. unless it's clear it's going to be part of a franchise and there's going to be more movies, then it can be left open. as long as there is an actual end at some point.

Nah, I do not like that.. I'd like it to end.. whether its good or bad so long as it has an ending.. :) If its left up to me to decide what the ending is.. I might as well be part of writing the movie :D
I hate it. I believe its lazy writing. If I wanted to come up with my own ending I'd write a script myself. A good story has a beginning, middle, AND end.

Worse, i find. When it's a book i'm reading....😡

I much prefer closure in a movie lol. How about you?

a finish would be nice

Some of them are genius. Almost every Spike Lee movie has an ambiguous ending, for example. I don't need everything spoon fed to me.

Writers couldn't agree on how to end it.

It pisses me off, and is a result of bad writing.

hate them, lazy not to finish the story
