No, but I could be converted.
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
@SweetMae: Well, you can keep the snow..
SweetMae · 70-79, F
HaHa. I have brownies in the oven, and the fire is toasty and warm. It's a good time to relax and watch the snow fall.
MrsKatherineArch · 41-45, F
@SweetMae: That does sound nice.

ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
@SweetMae: Hello there and yep its FULLY loaded no blanks here ;)
Peaches · F
@RT, lookin' good my friend❣😉👍🏼
Harmonium1923 · 51-55, M
LOL. The word "country" was one of Shakeapeare's favorite puns. Leave out the "r", say it out loud, and that's what it meant. Which means he would have loved your question! 😀
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I guess he would have!! Thank you for the information.
SW-User
kinda. I've mostly forgotten how, but I like to think I could relearn.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Sure you can. Put on your boots and kick up your heels.
SW-User
@SweetMae: I'd more associate getting the boots out and getting dirty and tired to the point that you're not sure you could ever not be either... and then a good shower and sleep to prove to yourself that you can.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I respect a hard working farmer or rancher. It is not an easy job.
TheConstantGardener · 56-60, M
I dip in and out of the country. I like the openness of it but I also enjoy the complexity of the town.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
You enjoy the best of both worlds?
Peaches · F
Yes ma'am, born and raised in the southern state of North Carolina❣🍀👍🏼🦉
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Really. Wow, I love that area. We visit a few times a year.
Peaches · F
@SweetMae: I miss the wild life there, I miss the fireflies.🥀
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@Peaches: I would too!
I think I am, at heart, but I've lived in the city all my life.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I think you might be too. You have a great appreciation for dogs.
I do. I LOVE dogs. Never had one, though. But I dream of living in the country and having a big dog (outside). (Okay, he can come in on cold nights and lie at my feet in front of the fire.)
donontario · 70-79, M
I am. Not a fan of the city
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@donontario: Always nice to get back home.
donontario · 70-79, M
So very true. I am looking to move in the spring, I may be in the country but the neighbours are too close for my liking.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@donontario: I can't see mine until all the leaves fall.
Country girl mostly.
I do know how to make jam and have chickens in my back yard.
ReaperofTime · 46-50, M
Sounds like where my Great Grandparents lived spent many awesome summers there they had chickens pigs hogs cows cats dogs and everything else first house in town to have indoor plumbing and electricity one dirt road
@ReaperofTime: I'm not quite that country. I grew up that way though. I have more self-sufficiency skills than most, I suspect.
Both my parents grew up without indoor plumbing. In fact, I remember when my grandmother finally got indoor plumbing in the early 80's.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ProdigalSummer: My parents both grew up on large farms. They were next door neighbors. That is when I learned to love the country. I do remember getting indoor plumbing at home.
sighmeupforthat · 46-50, M
don't know any more.

in and out of the city, suburbs and rural.....

SweetMae · 70-79, F
Nice. Maybe you can just enjoy both!!
ajoite · 51-55, F
Fairly sure I'm a girl, but there are rumours

What I was going to say was joking aside, I'm 100% country
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ajoite: I would have guessed that!
SW-User
i have lived a good portion of my life there so yeah :)
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I like the country life.
SW-User
@SweetMae: me too :)
AnukBinary · M
I used to be growing up.. Had to get up before the crack of the universe woke up to do chores. Feed horses, ducks, sheep, and cows
AnukBinary · M
@SweetMae: I do miss it. My mom and I often talk about wishing we still had horses. The number one thing I miss the most was the night time sky at 8000 ft. On a clear night it looked cloudy because of all the stars.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Wow....I would certainly miss that too.
AnukBinary · M
I get a lonely feeling looking up at the starless sky's
curiosi · 61-69, F
YES! My city is turning into a metropolis I want OUT!
SweetMae · 70-79, F
Come on over, we will make room.
Neither, a city girl.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I do like to visit the city.
@SweetMae: yes. It's pretty interesting here.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@DestinyofanAngel: I can imagine. Most cities are.
Jodiegee · 22-25, F
Borne in the city but love the country
SweetMae · 70-79, F
So much of our countryside is disappearing. Hope you can enjoy getting away.
Some days more than others
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I can understand that.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
With those pretty eyes..
@SweetMae: Awe. Thanks. 😊
Glad to see you back.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@PinkRainbowKisses: Thank you! I am so happy to be feeling great! 😊
Ambroseguy80 · 56-60, M
Nope. City boy all the way...
SweetMae · 70-79, F
I am a country girl....always have been.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@MrsKatherineArch: I may not be so happy tomorrow. I just heard that we are getting a Nor'Easter. We could get a lot of snow.
