Because when you see an ugly person on the street you don't pay them attention. You don't think about them twice. Yet when you see a beautiful unique person you do not forget their face. Unfortunately that is how the world is. Closeminded. They do not look into peoples eyes. There you will find true beauty.

They probably think it's the only way to have a mate, have meaningful relationships, which is false. Insecurity, false ideals, and overall self awareness/ lack of connection. It'll become exhausting once they've had enough experiences to make them go within for their inner connection. And this is true with anything, not just this.

Cause people want to be attractive in a nice way. I mean, you'd want to be able to attract a partner. But it's because they think people won't date them if they're not pretty. Even though looks are only one thing, we tend to go by it more instead of personality. If a person thinks someone looks unattractive they may not ask them out. Either because of their looks and/or the person thinks they don't have a good personality (which can be false).
