Modern spirituality typically includes a belief in a supernatural, which may or may not include God. So calling oneself "spiritual" does not necessarily mean they are Christians.

Spiritual awakenings aren't a one shot deal they start out small and increase in intensity the further along the path you go. Spirituality to me is believing in a higher power and trying to connect with that higher power.
