I still remember lying on my mum's bed and her inspecting me down there to see where the blood was coming from...

@HootyTheNightOwl 🙄 I can't wrap my head around this 1
@StayUP I guess that her first thought was more about my virginity rather than my period.

Though I had been raised watching films that are unsuitable for minors, she still had a high value on me remaining a virgin for as long as possible. I was terrorised with unnecessary threats about "If you come home pregnant, I'm taking you down to the nearest abortion clinic".

I ultimately got the last laugh though... because I am infertile and struggled to try to get pregnant for ten years. At least my sister is giving her the grandchild that I can't.

First week of 6th grade. I had on white pants and someone told me I had gotten ketchup on them. Lol. My mom came to pick me up and she took it pretty well. I got the whole ‘you’re a woman now’ talk on the drive home. Then she called all her sisters to spread the news. I felt completely violated and that was when I started limiting how much I told her because I knew she’d never be able to keep anything to herself. She’s like that to this day.

@ProdigalSummer Why do moms like to share this stuff. When my sister had her first time my mom sent me to the store to get pads. I went to the store and got them. Didn't tell anyone what's up. I don't think my mom did either.

Hopefully when you have or had daughter you did not do the same thing.

Same with me I stopped telling things about myself when I heard my mom, grandma and aunt share it with their friends. @ProdigalSummer

In the morning of the sixth grade.I told my mom and she was in her car ready to go to work and she got distracted and forgot to open the garage door and hit it backing out.So I guess not well
Butterflykisses24 · 51-55, F
@SW-User yeah.She told literally everyone.I was mortified.

@Butterflykisses24 Why does it seem moms need to tell everyone?
Butterflykisses24 · 51-55, F
@SW-User I think she needed an excuse for taking the garage door down
I was sitting on the toilet one afternoon having a wee and I found a lot of blood. Me and mum were always in the toilet together having a girly chat it was normal in our family. Well she just said it means your body is now ready to have a baby but I should wait until adult hood obviously😂. She had a sense of humour.

I think i was fifteen home. Nothing special happened. What do parents have to do with it? I didn’t throw a period revelation party or announced it or told my mom. Just bought some pads

I don’t even remember. I just know I was put on birth control soon after because I passed out at school.
