Many factors come into play here. Myself, I went to school for environmental science, I also got certified in Comptia A+, Network +, Security +, and am CCNA certified. Mainly because I love the outdoors but I have a niche for computers.

I work in a lab for the DNR for the Saint Joseph River system as a career, and I work from home and one day a week in an office at a Database company.

I also do what ever makes me employable. So I got my Notary license as well as my CDL. I also teach firearm self defense to women and seniors.

And as a profitable hobby, I have a forge where I melt down metals such as Platinum, Gold, Silver, Copper, Aluminum, etc. and that makes some good money.

So luckily I never needed to take out a loan.

Which this obviously isn鈥檛 something everyone does or can do.

But what鈥檚 annoying are the people who complain that sustainability is seldom achievable or that they can鈥檛 get a job because there isn鈥檛 a serious demand for their specific degree.

You have to be responsible and think about the future. I get that some people are passionate about this or that. Some people want to make a difference. But life is a zero sum game and you are guaranteed nothing. It sounds harsh and mean but it鈥檚 the truth.

People aren鈥檛 doing that by choice.

@LeopoldBloom what鈥檇 you mean?

I've never seen extreme wealth come from having a job. All my wealthy friends own businesses and provide jobs for other people.
