Do you eat out by yourself? Why do some frown upon this?

Yes but not in restaurants as of yet. Mainly diners and drink shops.

Of course no reason needed but my reason, when am out with family (see parents most weekends) they make decisions when it comes to foods n drinks. Same thing happens with my stubborn friend. So, about 3 yrs ago I took the decision to eat out at places I enjoy.

I prefer eating by myself, mostly because I’d rather enjoy my food than engage in conversation. I supposed there’s a stigma that eating alone automatically means you’re lonely, which isn’t necessarily true.

no one frowns upon it. it’s the people who eat alone that imagine that’s what’s happening. i’ve done it a bazillion times when i was single but still wanted to eat at a resto

My wife always feels sad for people that are at the movies or eating in a restaurant alone. She can't believe that some people prefer to do these things by themselves. She feels sorry for them , while I envy them. 😔

I don't because I don't want weirdos coming up to me and asking why I'm alone. I don't think there's anything wrong with it though.

I usually don’t go out to eat by myself for obvious reasons. One being the fear of getting unwanted attention from people who want to start a conversation.
