infatuation, in my own personal opinion, is just really liking or admiring them. that isn't love. it could also be looking up to someone as if that person is a hero. infatuation usually never goes beyond anything past friendship.

love, again my own personal opinion, is much deeper than just infatuation. it means wanting to be with that person even through their bad times. it means taking their thoughts and opinions very seriously, and valuing who they are as a person. not wanting to change who they are or what they do. wanting to protect them and make them safe. wanting to spend a lot of time with them, making personal promises to only them. missing them when they are away. and so much more <3
