The worst advice was from one of my mom. The best advice I've received was from my landlord. I'm not going to post what those pieces of advice were.

Best advice I got was not to trust people and the worst advice was to stay quiet when someone was being rude with me .

The best advice: Trust your intuition. If something doesn't feel right, there's a good reason for that and you need to be careful.
The worst advice: Don't tell management that what they've heard about you wasn't true, or they'll just get mad and fire you. Just agree with whatever they're saying, even if it's all lies. I probably would have been fired either way, but I should have at least told them the truth.
