		Nope, not at all.
It's more important that the person took the time to think of you.

Yeah I do get disappointed but it's only because I always think so hard about presents and put so much effort into them. I love to give people gifts. It's just a bit sad when they, in return, get me something with no thought. It makes our relationship feel pretty one-sided but it's cool

@WittyKittyfeelinShitty I understand that. I spend time going back and forth with what to get someone. Sometimes I do laps around the store trying to make decisions and they are like cool a random giftcard to somewhere I may or may not like.

Not really. I used to as a child. But as I've grown, I'm just grateful for getting anything at all. That's more than a lot of people can say.

@SW-User when I was a kid if there wasn't a mountain of presents under the tree I was upset.

@Addictedtoglamour When I was a kid, I'd ask for one thing, so I would get it for sure.

Oh yes I always choose fitting gifts and my friend got me a kitschy GREEN lamp?! I still wonder what she was thinking while gifting; not to forget the ones who gift me clothes, they know I hate it and I hate their choices and it’s almost always ill fitting

@FeetAreFantastic That’s not an excuse if they’re a close friend though, but yeah I’m actually curious to see what she comes up with this time
@Addictedtoglamour ikr?! They get something fancy and it looks like a freaking nightgown?! Lmao

@SW-User I always got pjs sets that were too big and old man like. They would always ask for a list and would disregard it.

I'm 30 years old now so I really don't mind 🤷♂️. I haven't gotten many gifts for my birthday or Christmas in years. Those days are long over for me.

You know what? I don't expect gifts and if it's something cheap and I can use it that's fine with me. If I can't use it I find someone who needs it and give it to them.

I’ll always remember my present off someone for my 30th birthday. It was going okay until I read the brand. It was one of those makeup calendars. Absolutely awful, obviously intended for a little girl who was just getting into makeup.

@PaleandPolluted Sounds like something my grandma would do. She would always buy my female cousin little girls nailpolish and makeup even though shes in her 20s now.

I prefer not to get any presents nor have to give them. Beyond a certain age giving and receiving presents seems meaningless. If I want something I'll buy it and the other side's the same.
