I've questioned this for a long time. They always say that life is too short but when you've been dealt a horrible hand & it just keeps going down you start to wonder when it'll end.

It is although life's not perfect you enjoy the good times and experiences and when bad times come you work through them knowing it's temporary

That depends entirely on the value you require from life. If you can appreciate small gifts - of beauty, kindness, grace - it is very worthwhile. If you expect champagne and diamonds you will probably be sorely disappointed.
