I joined SW to heal from my past. I was kind of doubtful it would do anything for me. Also when I first joined I was treated kind of coldly by most people, I was also treated like trash by others when it came to posts I made. For a few months it was like that, honestly, I thought of leaving.

Yet it became easier once people got to know me, I also decided to stay because I had people here I liked. I also found that it helped me process my thoughts and was a good way to improve my writing.

I guess I'm glad I stayed. I wouldn't have met @SW-User or @KidAzazel as well as many others. I don't regret staying.

I joined EP when I searched info about depression. I knew about SW after EP closed down, but decided to take a break from it because it can be draining once you dive too deep.
Then I joined SW a few months ago because I missed the 'open-ness' of most people on here.
These aren't the kind of topics / things people post on Facebook. To most of our relatives and connections, we keep a part of us hidden. I feel like that's less the case on SW.
I really miss the whiteboard EP had though :-))

A friend recommended EP to me.

I joined this site to catch up with friends from EP. I joined EP by accident while searching the net for something random.

i found EP on accident then when they said it was shutting down I forgot about it. I didn't know they made SW after

I was looling for a place to blog and write. I stumbled onto EP. I liked what I saw and never left until they kicked us all out.

To write and connect with [some] people.

EP originally to help other people with depression and talk about my own, then i made good friends there and when it went away i looked for a replacement which was this place.

Also felt distant from people i actually knew on places like FB as i connected with strangers more than I did with people i apparently "knew". So now i just like making friends and talking with people, trying to do the same for others that I wanted when i first came here.

I'm here because you're all entitled to my opinions.

I have no clue why I joined EP... it looked pretty cool on the App Store and I was like alright I can get behind this.

I came across EP by accident like most. I made some great friends that got me through some bad times. I came here hoping it would do the same again

I found EP many years ago by mistake, I came here mainly out of boredom and to possibly reconnect with the people I met from ep.
