Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The child catcher gave me nightmares
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
Nightmare on elm street. The thought of being able to actually die in a dream was too much. 😨

SW-User
@dumpstermeow ok that was a good one, nice answer
Spartan1 · 46-50, M
@dumpstermeow until you remember YOU can control dreams
dumpstermeow · 41-45, F
@Spartan1 that means nothing to an 8 year old when Freddy is on the loose. 😨

@LyricalOne same here. I was scared to have my legs hang over my bed at night
LyricalOne · F
@jaymic64 Lol... and I hated swimming in the ocean to begin with! And it was my husband's favorite movie! He owned the DVD but would still watch it every time it showed up on cable- which was often!
BrattyMel · 31-35, F
Birds. It freaked me out and after going to Germany, where there were hundreds of birds littering the streets, I am now terrified.

ET and chucky.
HankHill · 70-79, M
@SW-User I'm not gonna lie...ET was kinda scary

SW-User
@HankHill My big sister would tell me the alien was kind and nothing to be scared of but I was too young to believe her. Lol.
OllyCat12 · 31-35, F
I still have not seen ET because of my childhood fear of him lol @SW-User
Snow White. The high pitched singing broke my windows. To be honest It still scares me.

Watership Down
Also the first few minutes of The Goofy Movie and that one fight near the end of Atlantis: The Lost City.
I've never really been afraid of entire movies.

There was a movie called The Prophecy about this mutant grizzly 🐻 killing people in the Pacific NW. It was way ahead of it's time because of the environmental message: eating mercury-tainted salmon is bad. Very bad. Sadly, alot of wild-caught salmon today has mercury in it, even in miniscule amounts.

@RemovedUsername786576 I liked it. 🤷🏼 It was only the first half, when they are kids. I'm assuming the second half will be out soon.

Only the ones with monsters with 3 eyes or pupils. I would wake up and see them in my window all scared.

I loved scary even young but one that freaked me out from being scared of our basement was an episode of are you afraid of the dark? About a vampire in the hotels air vents. I’d run my ass up those stairs when I had to shut out the lights
