HOW TO PERMANENTLY DELETE YOUR SW ACCOUNT
(In no way is this advocating for you to leave similar worlds. It is intended to be educational only.)
Deleting your social media accounts nowadays is intentionally confusing and misleading. Tech companies want your meta-data and will do anything to keep it. I hope this helps.
Before we begin, note these steps are to permanently delete your account not put it on haitis. You must follow the 'haitis steps' first in order to permanently delete your account.
(Copy & Paste this to your phones' Notes for later)
How to permanently delete your similar worlds account.
1. Find and click on your account settings. Scroll to the bottom green text and choose (LEAVE SIMILAR WORLDS>>)
2. Type in your password & click the orange (CONTINUE) button
3. Next you will have to click on two more orange (CONTINUE) buttons
4. Find the scroll box that says (3 DAYS) choose (NEVER)
5. [this next option is purposely confusing, pay close attention at the next two steps]
6. Above is a list of reasons why you're leaving similar worlds. Choose something like (I LOST INTEREST IN SIMILAR WORLDS)
7. Choose the white (CANCEL) button NOT the orange (CONTINUE) button.
8. Next you may choose to leave a comment. It is not necessary. Choose the orange (LEAVE SIMILAR WORLDS) button.
9. Your account is now deactivated. You should see the login page.
Understand this is only on haitis, don't be fooled. Now let's permanently delete it.
1. log back into your account. A window will appear.
2. Note the giant orange (REACTIVATE ACCOUNT) button. Choose the small green (CANCEL ACCOUNT) button below it.
3. Type in your password and click the orange (CANCEL ACCOUNT) button.
4. Go to your email. Similar worlds has sent you a confirm account cancelation email.
5. click on the small green (CANCEL ACCOUNT >>) button. This will take you back to Similar Worlds.
6. You will see two orange buttons. Choose the (LEAVE SIMILAR WORLDS) button.
7. Congratulations you're finished. You will see a box with red text that says { Your account will be permanently deleted in 72 hours}. You may log out now.
