Anyone else use online dating sites ?

I'd given up on all that stuff long ago. However, inspired by another post i saw earlier this evening. I figured i'd just go along to one of the old sites i used to inhabit, see if my old log in details worked; see if anything had changed; just to see if it made me feel any different about the whole idea.

So i get there. Sure enough the log in worked. Go to 'Gallery' - This is where you have photos of other users(allegedly) and you put either a tick next to them if you are interested in talking to them. Or an 'X' if you're not. So scientific !😉
And the first three photos ?.... were of women i [b]KNOW[/b]!!

One of whom, [i]lied[/i] about her age !......by some ten years !
The other declared herself as single when she's been married 13 odd years !
And i'm pretty sure one was a woman i work with......wearing a WIG !😣

@PoetryNEmotion Well. Maybe when i'm 80. Got a marble or two still in my head. Maybe i'll chase one of the old gals in the nursing home !....May even get a reputation !😉

@Picklebobble2 I think that one concern is that when one is single for a long period of time, one gets used to doing things a certain way. One becomes less flexible and less able to compromise. Put that person together with someone else like that and it becomes a mess.
When you are eighty, you likely won't want a partner. All the nursing homes I have worked in, no women want the men. And the men are in the minority too. There isn't any sexual talk nor thoughts. It is as if that part of their lives died long ago. The older women do notice the young men who work in the homes though. They still know what attractive means. They just aren't interested.

@SW-User I don't know. In my humble. Personal experience. Folk always think/feel they have to hide so much !
Like.....It's better to [i]seem[/i] to be this person rather than accept the fact they made a few errors in life and let their real selves be seen.
