1. The votes decided. He is the GOP nominee, no matter how the GOP leadership feels about it.

2. He's not shaking up the GOP and Democrat power elite. He's just a bully, who thinks he's the world's biggest con man. Reality, is that he's a man-child, and deals with the world, like it's 3rd grade, frozen in time.

3. He keeps getting caught in his lies, but to his support, it's the political elite, or the media's fault, not Trump's. Someone brought up Putin. The fact is, he does not know Putin. He talked big, a while back, about how tight the two of them are, but that's just another Trump story. He's now spinning it. The person who may know Putin, through a third party, is Manafort, his campaign manager, who was an adviser to Ukraine's deposed ex President. Trump may be smarter than Palin, but only by a hair. He did not know that Russian forces are in The Crimea. He tried to backpedal, but only his supporters are willing to believe him (blindly).

4. Veterans patience is running a bit thin with him. Insulting a Gold Star family, saying that he always wanted a Bronze Star (easy, you should have not used your college deferment, and when that ran, you should not have gotten a doctor's note, for a condition that cleared up, just as it was safe for him), inviting Russians to hack into US computers, etc.

5. His childish games, of not endorsing McCain and Ryan, are just that, childish.

6. He did get 13M votes, but that's about 65M-70M votes shy of winning the presidency. I don't think either he, or his supporters have computed this number yet.

7. America, is a good as it can be, given what we've gone through, with the Iraq war, and the financial collapse of 2008. The solution, is not to provide additional tax brakes to Trump. His supporters, don't even get it. Most of them, will not get any benefits, from the elimination of the Estate Tax. Donald Jr, Eric, Ivanka, TIffany, and Baron will. Folks, you don't make enough money, to go over the Estate Tax deduction. If you do, then you should understand, that as a country, we're not in the business of creating Kings. That money can, and should, go toward free education, and reasonable health care. Read the Hillary/Sanders plan. It's on her web site.

Trump has not told the truth once, this campaign, and he's not about to pull out of the race. His ego is much bigger than that, and his brain is not capable of processing anything more complex, than a 3rd grade dispute.

God help us.

I'm more concerned about how to save the country.
@skymike I get politics can be dirty but Trump's link to Putin and his contradictory statements of whether he has a close relationship with him or not was straight from his mouth -
Skymike - I get it Clinton is scum. I just don't see Trump being any different - when it doesn't suit him he just says what he thinks will get him elected - who knows what dodgy deals he makes he doesn't publish his tax return. I'm much more of a Sanders supporter he addresses many of the problems that trump also correctly identifies but Sanders is serious and intelligent and his solutions seem be better. I know he's not running but it's naive to trust Trump at all - he seems to have the general knowledge and IQ of a college freshman drop out.

@greenwind that sounds a bit partisan to me - the US military veterans asked McCain to rescind his endorsement - it's got nothing to do with democrats.

Also saying he did have a close relationship with Putin then saying he didn't and 'maybe he would recognize him if he saw him'.

It makes it look like Trump will say anything to get elected - just like all the other Washington politicians after all. He says what suits his election not what he really believes in.

Eh, so they lose a Presidential election. They still win the House, they might keep the Senate as well, so they get to keep playing nothing-will-ever-happen for another 4 years. It's not actually a big deal for the party unless they lose Congress, then they have to rely on their power at State level, which is still quite formidable.

They sorta can't withdraw his nomination the voters have spoken
Trump is not part of the Republican establishment...
I understand that Trump is popular - populists often are. But I just wonder if the Republicans are forced to withdraw his nomination what happens next? It just seems that Trump's never looked weaker since he ran for this campaign
I thought this whole Putin thing really hurt him - and now the republican military veterans have lobbied McCain to remove his support? It looks very bad for him no? Will they try to field another candidate if he pulls out?

Yeah, I know, the next line is, Polls Bad! Polls Cheating! Polls Biased!
Just like 2012, and 2008
@Goralski I'm not saying I don't like him - it just looks like this US military veterans asking McCain to rescind his endorsement is Trump at his weakest in a long time!
