I think the only attempts at "doing things", are attempts to stop the other party from doing things, thus we sit here with nothing getting done, and get forever shit on.

Democrats. It's just in order to do that they usually raise taxes because stuff they want to do to help people costs money, but nobody wants to pay for it. Republicans do stuff too but it mainly helps the rich.
