its more of a gentle spoon-feed with an accompanying airplane noise than a throat shove

Right or wrong, everyone has the right to their opinion.
I like to share opinions. I don't want to shove my views down anyone's throat, nor do I wish them to do that to me, but I enjoy a sharing of ideas. It's one of the main reasons I'm here. I love to know other points of view. It helps me better understand myself.

opinions are fine and good. I learn a lot about things and I like to question and think about things. I DON'T like people shoving them (or trying to) down my throat. I also don't think you should be insulted or abused just for having a different opinion.

I let other people have their opinions, but usually they try to shove theirs down my throat so I'm basically forced to tell them mine anyway.

@bijoux, you and I are not on the same page politicly, but I'll bet you and I could sit and have a cup of coffee and agree to disagree.

When posters ask for opinions, I interpret that as being open to everyone's opinion. I don't assume that they're looking for a debate necessarily. If my opinion differs from theirs, I'm not afraid to say so, but it doesn't mean we can't agree to disagree.

Opinions of others are OK. When they start every post with an insult I don't read the rest.

I don't give a damn about other people's opinions. You fly your carpet however you like, just don't crash into me deliberately and try to convince me to get a Prius.
