I've been told so they have someone to take care of them when they are old.

They bring me a great deal of joy.

I adore babies and children, I like people....I have always wanted my own fam

To create their own family, and small children are an absolute joy.

I was ostracized and abused by my family as a child, so I never really had one. I'd like to have a large family to support and teach and keep them on the right path throughout their lives, unlike my family.

I didn't. But I'm really glad that I did. Having children was my worse nightmare. Nothing scared me more, but it worked out in the end.

I wonder the same. In today's world, I don't understand why ppl want to. But my opinion doesn't matter to those who do.

The bond of family. The desire for legacy, carrying on the family name.

So they don’t buy that second dream home near the beach or that mountain cabin...

Actually unless one has experienced it, one cannot understand.

Because they are awesome!!

What most people never realize is that economically the only thing of value you will ever have is children. Without children nothing else has any lasting value. You can not sell your house to someone who was never born.

I expect it's genetic imperative, otherwise humanity would have become extinct a long time ago
