Most of the time, people deserve a second chance. This is not true for addictive people, however, since a million chances will never rescue someone on illicit drugs, alcohol, compulsive gambling etc. It's also not true for bullies or abusers since what they do is a kind of addiction, and no amount of second chances will make them change. For everyone else, though, a second chance is fair.

Yeah people deserve a chance. They also need to be willing to respect that chance and do right by it.
