since i dont celebrate i think so.. i mean it does bring money into the economy. but i guess those things mean something to those who participate.

I believe they are and have heard so many complain for weeks after Christmas how much they spent and how little of it was appreciated...and the next year they do it again and gripe about having to pay off the credit cards for many months afterwards.

@SW-User Halloween for one. The food is terrible and the costumes are annoying. I know a lot of people love it, I guess as a chance to cut loose and pretend you're someone/something else, which I do understand, but packing it into one, highly commercialized holiday is just overkill. Not to mention that in a lot of places there almost no trace of whatever cultural heritage first inspired the holiday anyway. I mean, from my point of view, you can party for the sake of partying whenever you're able. Wouldn't recommend it on a work night though. XD
