@ChemDawg Actually, it isn't clear what age she is in the end; he seeks her out a few years after their affair and finds her married, struggling, leading a very unromantic conventional blue collar life...very deflating to his fantasies.

@greenmountaingal I think it went out till her death in '59 I think she was about 16 when she died.
