I suppose if you have memorable pictures, you could always print them out? Printer with a colour ink is required. Yes, the pics will get torn, brownish overtime depends how well u keep them, they can last for 15 - 20 years... even then they will still be in an okayish condition.
Long ago I stopped saving all messages and pics due to lack of space.

@Sazzio May save for 60 years , but memorable pictures are more than 5000 .
And if a 4K resolution picture is printed out on an A4 , can the scanning of A4 give 4K quality again ?
And where to save the videos then ?
Nowadays Ssd is the only option , but feeling if there was a more longer saving storage too .

Hard drives and ssd are good options for large storage and quick access.

@NeoNeo Yes magnetic hard drives and ssd are better .
Ssd is better than hard drives . But it don't have many rewriting options . we can edit , delete , write in it for a certain number of times as well . but still it is the best storage nowadays in Ram or Memory card , or pen drive .
