It is really sad what terror a group of people can cause in others, just because they have different beliefs and lifestyles.
Apparently this year the Hindus had to cancel their festival out of threats. I don't know how many places.

@Unlearn that’s extremely upsetting. How long has this been going on? Is it the radical Muslims?

@SW-User I understand...

@DeluxedEdition yes. Who else...

My thoughts and concerns go out to those that are accosted no matter what the belief. As long as they are not the aggressors.
In this case it is obvious that the Muslims that are the aggressors. As they usually tend to be. Yet this pushing of belief and religious values is as well prevalent within government.
You ask why the government is doing nothing about the problem, yet the problem is self evident. There is nothing more that one belief wants than for other beliefs to go against each other.
That way they can maintain control of the beliefs of the country in which they are in.
This actually applies to all religions unfortunately. It's the very nature of religion.
Religion is about control. So you may say that they made promises. Yet why should they keep those promises when the figure of authority IS the very head of the countries church?
That's what the king of England is! The top person of the church of England. And everything flows downward from there onto the house of lords and onto parliament itself.

vile like all assault

We need Lord Kalki
Just as atrocious as assaults on mosques, churches, synagogues or any other place of faith.
People deserve to be free to follow the faith of their choice so long as it causes no harm to others.
Hinduism has clear ethics of causing no harm and practising unconditional love.

@marke There are also godly principles of paying Caesar what is Caesar's, and of giving charity even if it is one's last and only shekel, and of God caring for the lilies and birds of the field.
If you look closely enough through the Bible you can use it to justify anything that suits you.
God condoned Noah for starting slavery, and Abraham for mutilating his sons' penises and initiating the practice for all Jews and future Muslims. War and murder is justified in the name of "faith". The Inquisition was justified in the name of Christ.

@DeluxedEdition It's not oil money. They gang up and resort to violence if you don't toe their line...this is their modus operandi everywhere.

@Unlearn well Kenya, Eygpt -already happening
People need to realise that the majority of the world’s Christians aren’t located in Southern USA and aren’t ‘white’

@SW-User it’s funny because a lot of people try to portray that narrative that Christianity is a dying religion and the only people who practice it are “ignorant southerners” who have “never been anywhere in their life”
When In reality you are absolutely right. Christianity is practiced all over even in places like Korea or Japan

My thoughts aren’t politically acceptable
But I am grateful for the Hindu temples in my community

A very close friend of mine spent several years as a missionary to Pakistan. The US government restricted travel to that country after he came back to the US one time and he was not allowed to go back. However, he married a Pakistani Christian and they now have 3 grown American children who have secured educations and good jobs in America (one daughter lives in Canada.)

Misguided rubes do violence to abortion centers, Hindu temples, Muslim shrines, historical American monuments, crisis pregnancy centers, Baptist churches, American businesses, police stations, and so forth.
