Cowardliness tbh

@HazyDayz That's a good thing. I mean that.

@Beatbox34 thank you

Part stubborness and part this inward positivity that things can change.

Great question ....

I have multiple layers of defense...

Ducking or diving behind a bearer when it's a matter of instant survival;
Talking to someone I trust to to get someone else's insights;
Looking up the symptoms on the internet;
Ducking and running when just ducking isn't enough;
Humming or whistling that old tune about "Into each life some rain must fall ...";
Humor almost always works, at least for a while;
Making a Novena;
If all else fails, digging in and putting on my hard hat.
@Heartlander ✌️😇

For me.. Mother Nature keeps me ticking. Just going for walk in the woods renews my spirit. Or sitting on my porch watching the sunrise, listening to Nature waking up gives me awareness and happiness. My world maybe small and isolated but it's beautiful and life is good.

If I just keep breathing and doing the next thing, another wonder is going to come along. It may not solve or cure, but I’ll be glad I didn’t miss it. I really like that about life.

My family. Through all the medical issues I have had the last 15 years I have continued to fight for them.

As I laid in a coma and they prepared my family for my passing and I had a moment that i knew that i could just let go and the pain and suffering would be over. I had decided to do that. Then the thought of what that would do to wife, kids, and grandchildren I decided to fight! That was 15 years ago and facing a possibility of another open heart surgery. I will continue to fight for them!
Being thankful for whatever is thrown at me.

Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@PepsiColaP Maybe.

I know I'm partially dead inside. There's a lot I can't feel anymore. But it is what it is.
@Beatbox34 that is not all that bad
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M
@PepsiColaP Which is why I'm embracing it.

My kiddo. Cliche, but true.
Humor is my coping mechanism of choice though.
Beatbox34 · 31-35, M

I laugh a lot. That helps. Plus, I'm very determined. I'm going to make the life that I want and that drives me on everyday
