My job alienates me from other people. I work alone with zero support, zero praise.

@Richard65 Good methodology produces a conclusive result.

@DangerGirl I won't argue with that, but it would have to be pretty conclusive to convince as it's the ultimate mystery (as you say). I've read some history of it (including an Edwardian English group who made a pact that, should any member die, they would try to "make contact" with those still alive).
Your studies must be so interesting.

@DangerGirl well I was thinking in something related to medical stuff. Inmortality is something that humans always wanted. Should humans survive death?

The latter, but it funds my ability to do things which help with the former
For awhile now it's been breaking my spirit a bit. I've taken a break, but I know it'll be the same when I go back.

I'm a support worker for disabled and vulnerable adults, I assist them to live full lives independently in their own homes instead of them going into care facilities. I think I was alienated from myself UNTIL I finally dedicated myself to this. I'm not bigger, I'm now just me.

Honestly, it doesn’t do either. It’s just a transactional thing for me. I work for myself to pay the bills, but my actual life and identity happen outside of work.
@DareToSayIT it's good you have time for yourself after work.
